Ok animal lovers, this blog might not be for you... But Carrie, you will love this blog :)
I am not a dog person... never have been and in all likehood, never will be! There is nothing I like about them but a whole heck of a lot I could do without; hair everywhere, drool, slobber, horrible smells, picking up poop, jumping up on me, licking my toes (what is that all about???) and the list goes on.
I don't understand dog lovers... You can tell me all you want that a dog's mouth is cleaner than a human's, but I would bet you a $100 that if you saw your dog lick his rear and then come right up to you and lick your mouth you might think twice (sorry for the visual).
Sure some puppys are super cute, but most "baby" things are, but then they turn into Dogs... icky, smelly, loud, slobbery Dogs!
Most of my friends with kids appreciate coming to my house b/c the kiddos are welcome. I love them. Bring them on... but leave the animals at home. And don't tell me that kids are just like having pets. Kids poop in a diaper most of the time, they smell soooo good after a bath, and their redeeming qualities more than make up for the occasional behavior issues and messy habits.
Below is a picture of the only slightly positive attention I gave to Sumo (Darrin's Bull Dog) this weekend. Everyone loves this dog... me... not so much. And He knows it, thus he tries even harder to pay attention to me. I am not a fan. Love your dog all you want people, but I am sorry, I will not be warming up to your dog. Maybe a cat, but no dogs.
Blame it on never growing up with a dog maybe... not sure, but all I know is, you can drop your kiddos off anytime, but if you have a dog drop him at the twins place before you head to my end of the Viejo Village :) 
And here is a typocal dog lover. Sumo is pampered, which I have nothing against... I just won't be doing it along with you :)

I love animals...just not anywhere near me. I love children more and am so glad you and Dave are so welcoming of them even if they bang their toys all over your coffee table and spill and scream and embarrass their mother.
